The first period charity registered in the UK and India, Binti are on a mission to eradicate period poverty around the globe.
Their work includes providing access to affordable pads for women in impoverished communities, educating girls on what to expect from there periods, and dispelling taboos, myths and negative perceptions around menstruation. Supported by Anita and The Hermaj Goyal Foundation, Binti’s campaigns have allowed thousands of girls worldwide to access menstrual hygiene and regular education, free from barriers and stigma.

Anita has been a proud Patron of Binti since 2018, supporting the charity through multiple fundraising events and awareness campaigns. In April 2019, she joined Binti Founder, Manjit Gill, on 500-mile car rally across South Asia, with an aim to deliver menstrual education to as many young girls and boys as possible.
Spanning from Nepal, to India and back to the UK, the rally reached 11 schools across 9 different cities, delivering an incredible 1,300 reusable pads to women and girls across the continent. With 88% of women in India relying on a dirty rag during their period, the campaign succeeded in giving hundreds of young girls the menstrual dignity they deserve.
